  • George Zeidan & Ray Keefe present at the CCBG 1 Year Anniversary at the MCG
the current and future needs of each customer s business The right focus and values Over the years our challenge in creating IT based solutions for our customers has been to find a business that has both technical and commercial expertise to help us execute our projects effectively explains Ray Keefe This is exactly what Zeidan provides Their focus is on making solutions that do what the customer wants them to do Unfortunately this is relatively rare within the industry in Australia Ray continues There are too many IT development companies with limited experience in a wide range of projects That means they have a narrow range of solutions and try to fit the customer s problem to their solution Many are learning as they go They are on a learning curve at the customer s expense Ray describes that while Australian companies know how to develop communicating electronics products that could benefit themselves and other companies throughout the world the lack of a functional back end for the product becomes a barrier to them ever getting it off the ground He describes how his own business has worked with other development companies but the results achieved were unsatisfactory What took other developers over a year to get only partially functional it took Zeidan only eight weeks to have fully operational Collaboration is the key While Ray and George joined the Casey Cardinia Business Group with their own businesses in mind it soon became apparent that a collaborative project would enable them to provide solutions to companies throughout the world Meeting through the Casey Cardinia Business Group and attending the regular events meant we had time to get to know each other George explains There are shared business and personal values and a strong commitment to finding the right solution for customers Both of us enjoy the challenge of breaking new ground with the projects we take on We realised there was an opportunity of doing business together The current product devised by the two companies provides a platform that can record data for any kind of physical quantity At the moment the devices measure the volume of water taken by tankers from stand pipes in both Victoria and New South Wales The device acts as both an access controller and dispensed water logger than can communicate back to a website to record water taken and also get updated access privilege information Another intended use is to keep track of the level of water in remote storage tanks This saves the company who manages the storage system a huge amount of time as they no longer need to physically check the levels in the tanks The battery operated system is solar charged and the daily readings can also help to predict when they need to top up their storage tanks or replace batteries that are worn out Future applications of this system include the ability to measure atmospheric pressure or gases There is a possibility of a device to assist
