    back in Budapest If you would like to see more information about the Australian premiere of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs with shows running from 21st November to 14th December click here Gyula Harangozo Choreographer Gyula was born in Budapest Hungary in 1956 He attended the Hungarian State Ballet Academy later finalising his training at the Moscow State Ballet Academy in Alexander Prokofiev s class Following his graduation he joined the Hungarian National Ballet rising through the ranks to become Principal Dancer in 1978 In the following year he joined Vienna State Opera Ballet as a Principal Dancer and also became a guest principal dancer with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich until 1989 Throughout his career he won many esteemed awards including 1977 Award for the best juvenile at 3rd Moscow International Ballet Competition 1978 Gold Medal as best male dancer at the 2nd Tokyo International Ballet Competition 1981 Hungarian Dancer of the year 1983 Artist of the year in Munich Germany 2000 Officer s cross of the Hungarian Republic 2009 EuroPas Dance Award 2010 Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art 2012 Kossuth Prize of the Hungarian Republic Gyula has made guest appearances in New York Moscow Bolshoi Theatre La Scala Milan London Paris Zürich Madrid Mexico City Caracas Edinburgh Stuttgart Berlin and Hamburg Since retiring he has held managerial positions with the following companies and production projects Stars of Ballet International Ballet Gala in Vienna Stars of Ballet International Ballet Gala in Vienna Lausanne Frankfurt Cologne Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre s guest performance in Vienna with Paul Szilard Productions Inc Russian Ballet Stars Ballet Gala in Belgium World Stars at the Opera Ballet Gala s artistic director Russian Ballet Stars Ballet Gala in Bratislava and Victor Ullate Ballet s guest performance in Vienna with Paul Szilard Productions Inc Most notably though in his time since retiring from a successful career as a dancer Gyula was director of the Hungarian National Ballet from 1995 to 2005 During this period he created and oversaw the production of many full length ballets More recently Gyula was Ballet Director of Vienna State Opera the Vienna Volksoper and Director of the Vienna State Opera Ballet School He is the current Artistic Director of the Szeged Summer Festival in Hungary Blanka Fajith Rotterne Choreographer s associate In 1964 Blanka Fajith Rotterne was admitted to the Hungarian State Ballet School where she graduated in 1973 She was offered a contract in the very same year to join the Hungarian National Ballet where she was danced until 2003 In 1984 Blanka graduated as a ballet teacher in the Hungarian College of Dance Since the age of 20 she has been working as an assistant choreographer and later as a ballet master in the Hungarian Opera She was the ballet master for many ballets staged outside of Hungary Some examples include the Vienna State Opera Kirov Theatre St Petersburg Ljubljana Opera Polish National Opera Sofia Opera Ballet Croatian National Theatre Estonian National Opera

    21st November 14th December click here Biography Wolfgang Heinz was born in Wiesbaden and grew up in Munich He studied conducting and piano with Prof Volker Wangenheim at the academy in Cologne Afterwards he worked as director of music in Essen Detmold Plauen and Pforzheim Since 1999 Wolfgang Heinz has been conducting frequently at the Opera Stuttgart and also at the Stuttgart Ballet Since 2008 he is Assistant Music Director of the Stuttgart Ballet For the Opera Stuttgart he conducted the Millenuim Gala 2000 Le nozze di Figaro The Magic Flute Hansel and Gretel as well as between 2002 and 2006 other opera productions as Musical Director of the Young Opera For the Stuttgart Ballet he conducts almost the whole repertoire including the classical full length ballets such as Swan Lake The Sleeping Beauty Giselle and La Sylphide as well as John Cranko s ballets and numerous symphonic works such as Boléro Maurice Ravel Le Sacre du Printemps Igor Strawinsky and Peter Tchaikovsky s Violin Concerto He also accompanies the company on tours to Japan South Korea Macao Madrid Moscow London Singapore and Oman Wolfgang Heinz has worked as guest conductor in Lisbon Romeo and Juliet in Ankara Don Quichote at the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv Dido and Aeneas in Mexico City The Taming of the Shrew and Tokyo La fille mal gardeé He also conducted for the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the West Australian Ballet in Perth Since 2011 Wolfgang Heinz conducted perfomances at the State Opera Dresden Swan Lake the Deutsche Oper Berlin Romeo and Juliet and the State Opera Unter den Linden Onegin as well as at the Bavarian State Opera Munich Besides that he has also worked with the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen and the Hessian State Orchestra Wiesbaden Since 2010
