    we are today the amount of effort that Cricket Australia has put into our program has been amazing and now you know it really shows and hopefully we can continue the good form and win a few more Having won the toss and elected to bat the Southern Stars received a flyer courtesy of Meg Lanning and Rachael Haynes as the pair put on a 52 run opening stand inside 10 overs Lanning in particular was savage on anything that was bowled back of a length slamming six boundaries en route to 31 from 41 deliveries before falling as she attempted to push the tempo The opener s departure paved the way for her VicSpirit teammate to stride to the crease and after a watchful beginning Cameron partnered Haynes 52 to a 64 run partnership as they paced the Southern Stars innings perfectly Having posted her half century Haynes played a rash shot trying to hoik a ball that wasn t there but there would be no denying Cameron Seizing on a free hit she clubbed the first six of the Final over mid wicket before bringing up her own half century with another straight down the ground Eyeing a maiden one day international century the Southern Stars appeared set for a total of 300 or more while Cameron was at the crease before a rank full toss proved her undoing in the deep Cameron s demise sparked a collapse of 4 28 before captain Jodie Fields 36 not out and all rounder Elyse Perry 25 not out rescued proceedings with an unbeaten 50 run partnership from 40 balls to post 7 259 Despite struggling with an ankle injury Perry then struck with the ball as she obliterated the West Indies top order to claim 3 19 from her 10
