    points clear of the defending champions entering today s final fixture of the season the Victorians thumped a hapless Meteors outfit to advance After yesterday s six wicket haul which included a hat trick Kristen Beams grabbed another four wickets this morning while Emily McIntyre took three scalps as the Meteors were dismissed for 61 That total never troubled the VicSpirit batters as Elyse Villani 19 Meg Lanning 28 and Jess Cameron 13 reached the target with 12 overs remaining Commonwealth Bank VicSpirit Captain Emma Inglis said her side s preparations for both finals could not have been better We ve got our T20 title to defend and to try to get that one day final off NSW that they have held for a while it s going to be a big challenge but I think we re up for it Inglis said We ve shown this weekend that we can play good cricket that s all we have to do It s good for different people to be standing up and it s great to see a lot of people in form at this time of the year The Commonwealth Bank VicSpirit will attempt to defend its WT20 title

    were dismissed within the first three overs but a 91 run partnership between Wyatt and Jess Cameron 50 39 steadied the side A rapid 20 17 from the Victorian skipper Emma Inglis late in the innings helped VicSpirit post their total of 7 143 The trophy looked destined to be heading back to Sydney when NSW required 28 off 19 balls with their captain Alex Blackwell and Sarah Coyte both set but outstanding death bowling from Wyatt and Kathleen Hempenstall 3 22 thwarted the hopes of NSW Requiring 14 from the final over Hempenstall claimed two wickets and conceded just four runs VicSpirit captain Emma Inglis was full of praise for her bowlers especially Hempenstall She was amazing in those last few overs when the pressure was on Inglis said Danni Wyatt has come good at the right time of the year and her partnership with Jess Cameron probably won us the game Post match Inglis already had her mind on Saturday when VicSpirit will try and break NSW s six year run as WNCL title holders The last two years we have had a good win in the T20 final and failed to back it up so this time
