system was installed 12 months ago Home owners have told us they have spent well over 5000 for this baiting system to be installed and now to find out there homes are riddled with termites does not go down well If they had a termidor chemical barrier installed this would last up to 8 years and only cost around 3800 Keep in mind you will still have to keep up with a termite inspection every 12 months This entry was posted in FAQ Termite FAQ on June 11 2013 by admin How do I know if my home has a had termite treatment or barrier installed The first thing you should do is to check your metre box to see if your home was treated There will be a termite sticker stating the date and what type of termite chemical was used Keep in mind homes that were built from 2001 onwards will already have a termite physical barrier or a reticulation barrier installed You will still have to have your home inspected every 12 months or your warranty will be voided If your home was built before 2001 then a termite baiting or chemical barrier may have been installed Keep in mind that the termite chemical barrier will have to be re treated every 4 8 years depending on what chemical was used This entry was posted in FAQ Termite FAQ on June 11 2013 by admin How often should I have my house inspected for Termites The Australian standards and Queensland Building Service Authority recommends inspecting your home for termites every 12 months In some cases every 6 months if your home was attacked by termites initially Even if you have had a termite barrier installed you will still need to have it inspected even though you have had a termite barrier installed The reason for this is termites may still find a way around them and if you have a qualified termite inspector in you can be assured that the termites barrier is working and if there is termites found they will be treated free of charge This entry was posted in FAQ Termite FAQ on June 11 2013 by admin Why is there a difference in the price for a termite barrier The price can change depending on what termite chemical is being used and the size of your home Repellent termite chemicals are the cheapest to use Whereas the more expensive chemicals such as termidor does cost more but has a higher success rate in eradicating termites and comes with a 8 year warranty Repellent chemicals only have a 4 5 year warranty This entry was posted in FAQ Termite FAQ on June 11 2013 by admin What if the termites come back If your home has had a termite barrier installed then you are fully covered Keep in mind termites can still find a way around barriers that were installed this is why it is vital to keep up with your annual inspections just
