    Pegler and G Desailly Pickering and Pegler were elected trustees Suggestions as to purchase of land for the links and building of the clubhouse were left for the Committee to arrange It was reported that A lot of work has been done at the links and judging by the list of members already in over 70 golf is going to boom The links were situated on Thirteenth Street between Ontario and Riverside Avenues which is the current site of Mildura Golf Club The opening day was on Thursday 6 June 1912 A crowd of about 100 people attended the Shire President George Desailly drove a ball and declared the links open and a foursome match was won by the Captain Milroy Smith and I J Dawes An annual meeting of the Mildura Golf Club in May 1913 resulted in the election of Hurtle Pegler as President and R Cudmore as Captain George Desailly the initial Patron had died The first season had been financially successful and the club membership consisted of 63 men and 47 ladies The club s first professional James Scott was appointed in 1913 Hurtle Pegler continued as President of the Mildura Golf Club until 1930 Resort

    Sloan Morpeth also recommended changing the position of several greens to improve the course The grass greens were opened in 1965 In 1974 major modifications to the new irrigation system were completed and the fairways converted to kikuyu grass as based on a Hartley report Further changes are now underway based on plans by Davey Shearer which will result in modifications to several holes and integration of oncourse living Resort
