  • paintings they converse with in the Newcastle Gallery from 15 May On Friday 22 May 6 pm with Ivy Ireland and Anthony Lawrence I read my poem and talk about its making The other poets do their thing on Saturday 23 2 I m talking about the landscape in and of my writing at the Carrington Hotel Katoomba on Monday 18 May a conversation including Katherine Johnson and Phillip Gwynne and led by Gregg Borschmann The Blue Plateau is a memoir of Katoomba and the sandstone country around it so it ll be moving to talk about it there 3 Later that night at the Gearin Hotel in Katoomba Varuna is launching four new books of poetry in the APC Australian Poetry Centre series With Romaine Morton I ll be reading some of my recent work including a fragment or two from the plateau 4 On Thursday 21 May I run a workshop on literary nonfiction The Art of Fact at the NSW State Library where I have written a fair bit of it over the years Two workshops 9 30 12 30 and 1 30 4 30 5 I read poems at the Brett Whiteley Studio in Surry Hills
