    and laboratory services in the South East and from 1980 1994 he worked as a pathologist with the West Australian and South Australian Governments Martin worked for IDEXX from 1995 2008 and rejoined IDEXX in August 2011 He is a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and has authored over 16 scientific publications Martin s special interests include clinical pathology cytology and endocrinology of companion and production animals Natalie Courtman BVSc Hons MVS MACVSc Pathology and Small Animal Medicine Veterinary Clinical Pathologist Natalie graduated from the University of Sydney in 1993 and spent 9 years working in small animal practices in Australia and England During this time she completed a Masters degree in Veterinary Clinical Studies through Murdoch University and attained membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in small animal medicine In 2003 Natalie commenced a residency in clinical pathology at the Royal Veterinary College in London before returning to Australia in 2005 to a research support role at the Australian National University She joined IDEXX in April 2007 achieved membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Pathology in 2008 and is currently studying for ACVP board examinations in Clinical Pathology Linda Hayes BVSc Grad Dip Voc Ed Veterinary Pathologist Diagnostician After graduating from the University of Queensland in 1995 Linda worked in small animal practice in Australia and England from 1996 to 2002 and also taught veterinary nursing part time at TAFE in Sydney for two years 2001 2002 after completing a graduate certificate in vocational education and training In 2003 she began a two year internship in veterinary pathology at the University of Queensland On completion Linda then began her PhD which is currently in its final stages investigating mutations in the c kit gene in cutaneous mast cell tumours in dogs Between July 2008 and 2010 she also undertook a two year residency in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Florida Gainesville Linda joined IDEXX in 2011 She is aiming to undertake the American board examinations in the next two years Linda s special interests include surgical pathology and oncology Karen Jackson BVSc Hons MACVSc Internal Medicine Dip ACVP Clinical Pathology Veterinary Clinical Pathologist After graduation from the University of Queensland in 2002 Karen was a veterinarian in a mixed animal practice in Victoria for 2 years The subsequent year Karen completed a small animal rotating internship at Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre followed by a year in small animal practice in England Before moving to Philadelphia in the US she passed the membership examination in small animal internal medicine At the University of Pennsylvania Karen completed the Haematology and Transfusion Fellowship 2006 2007 and then a clinical pathology residency 2007 2010 She stayed on for a year as a Lecturer in Clinical Pathology 2010 2011 while also passing the board examination to become a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in Clinical Pathology Karen s special interests include haematology particularly bone marrow disease immunohaematology haemostasis and cytology particularly of
