    chamber musician In addition to being the entrepeneur and artistic director of Café de Concert he is also the artistic director of the chamber music festival in the Caribbean Sea Mozart under Coconuts and Palm trees festival Aksel Kolstad has performed in numerous festivals in Norway and abroad and has on several occasions performed on both national and international television and radio He has studied composition with Wolfgang Plagge and has already a huge production of compositions which he frequently performs himself in many countries around the world His music is published on Musikk Huset A S www musikk huset no Aksel Kolstad performs frequently in Oslo New York Moscow St Petersburg and Tallinn He made his debut concert as a composer and pianist at Carnegie Hall on October 10th 2010 with a full house and a standing ovation He is considered as one of the most exciting young pianists and composers of our time Kolstad is one of our brightest young artists We are proud to have such a talented individual representing Norwegian culture on the stage at Carnegie Hall Henrik Width Norwegian Consul in New York Coffee with Aksel Place of Birth Oslo Education Bachelor at the Norwegian

    Associate of Modern Dance qualifying her to teach dancing It was here that she also met Ian Westrip OAM and began private singing lessons under his guidance Ian quickly recognised her talents as a performer and encouraged her to apply for the Certificate II in Music Theatre at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts WAAPA In 2005 she gained admittance to the course and successfully completed it Emma continued lessons with Ian until 2007 when she was offered a scholarship position to study Musical Theatre at LASALLE college of the Arts in Singapore Emma accepted the position but chose to defer her place while she completed a double degree in Education and English She resumed lessons with Ian in 2008 In 2009 she was offered a position at LASALLE again and relocated to Singapore for a short time Wanting to focus more on singing and singing technique Emma returned home to Western Australia to study Classical Music Performance vocal studies Her studies at WAAPA have helped to further develop her passions for Classical singing and Opera Her current performance credits at WAAPA include A Song for All Seasons and Stabat Mater She has also performed in the musicals Assassins
