    OUTLOOK FEATURED CONTENT MULTIMEDIA CONTACT US K Gillis D Edwards M Hipwood M Brabrook B Robinson T Nichols M Davidson G Morris S Carpendale J Baker J Stacheel B Madley Leadership Gary Morris Director Engineering Operations Technology Boeing Defence Australia Gary Morris was appointed Boeing Defence Australia s director engineering operations and technology in February 2011 In this role he is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the engineering information technology operations product support and program management functions to ensure they deliver functional excellence to support the business and protect the enterprise Prior to this Morris was chief engineer for Boeing Defence Australia s Network Space Systems division and senior manager engineering for the engineering function In both these roles he provided functional oversight and support to key system development programs within Boeing Defence Australia Morris joined Boeing in December 2002 as the software integrated product team manager for the High Frequency Modernisation Project HFMP He led the software engineering effort associated with delivering the HFMP core system in 2004 Between 2004 and 2008 Morris provided leadership to the software and systems engineering capabilities as software engineering manager and systems engineering manager Morris has considerable experience in the execution and delivery of large complex system development programs Prior to joining Boeing he spent three years as a project manager for RLM Systems a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Tenix which included establishing and executing classified defence projects He also performed various roles on the Jindalee Operational Radar Network project over seven years This included a two year secondment with GEC Marconi Systems H F division as a systems engineer as well as senior and principle software engineer roles with Telstar Systems and RLM Systems Morris commenced his career in the defence industry as a signals analyst and crypt analyst
